GINNY ROBERTSON is Founder and President of Live Your Life On Purpose. She has been a speaker and workshop facilitator for the past 16 years, with an earlier career and education in the banking and finance industry. In the mid 1980’s she became interested in people… what motivated them, what sustained them, what drove them to make decisions, what got in their way of having the success they wanted. In 1987 she began a part-time career with a Personal/Professional Development seminar company and in 1992 made it her full time vocation. While there she taught others skills to enhance both their personal and professional lives. Through a very interactive and experiential model, she gave them information that increased their ability to communicate what they really mean to others, to ask for what they really want, to become accountable for the day to day happenings in their lives, to understand that many times their perceptions are not reality, to get out of their own way and get on with creating the life they desired. Since 1994 she has been on her own and continues to work with individuals and organizations to help them achieve the goals and dreams they have. She does this both within private and government industry and in workshops she creates for the general public. In 2000 she formed On Purpose Networking for Women, an organization that gives women an opportunity to network in a different way. On Purpose Networking for Women currently meets in 4 Maryland Counties—Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Frederick and Howard. There are plans to expand to Harford and Carroll Counties this year. Ginny’s style is highly interactive, experiential and laced with humor. She establishes trust and rapport easily and early with her audiences and believes we learn best in an atmosphere where we can laugh, ask questions, and try it on for ourselves. Participants leave her sessions not only motivated to make changes, but with hands on knowledge that what they learned does work, that they have the ability to make changes in their lives, with examples and ideas on how others have used these skills and with a support system in place, should they want it, to continue to use these ideas.
